ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marina Marco is a visual artist based in Valencia, Spain. She graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and was granted by the Erasmus+ Programme to study an academic year at Akademie der Bildenden Künste München. Her work explores fabric, perceived from a pictorial and contemporary approach, space where the threads perform a self-developed weaving language that shape her biographical background. She investigates the bonds among techniques, area of convergence between disciplines of expression, such as painting, sculpture or sewing, raising awareness of this last one’s cultural and behavioural meaning. By means of the abstract language, she studies the pleat, the act and the print, beholder stages of the remains of the process and the concept, revealing events that lead to planes of hiding spots and disclosures, traces of elements that once existed, those which now compose the canvas.

 It takes approximately 30 days to manufacture by hand, to be painted by the artist, and to be delivered to you. Please be patient!
